German Cockroach

German Cockroach

1/2 inch in size or smaller. Although, German roaches are similar in some ways to the larger tree roaches, their habits are much different. They are much more resilient, which is why our German Roach treatment requires multiple visits. These insects prefer to live inside and come in large numbers. They focus mainly in areas where they have easy access to food, moisture and warmth. Typically, they can find all three of these in the kitchen and in some cases the restroom. This is where you will mainly see them if you are dealing with German Cockroaches. German roaches reproduce rapidly with females producing up to 4 to 6 egg capsules over their lifetime, each of which contains up to 48 eggs. They are known to transmit disease and cause allergies making them a health hazard in homes and businesses. These insects are sensitive to light. You will usually notice more than one of them running when you turn the lights on in the morning or go to the kitchen for a midnight snack. They leave droppings that look like sprinkles of pepper around appliances and outlets. In some cases, they can damage appliances if large amounts of them are present. Thankfully Beneli Pest Control offers a treatment for them. We recommend our German Roach treatment. There are also several steps you can take to prevent German roaches from infesting your home or slow down the progress of a current infestation. The key is to eliminate their food, water, and shelter sources. First, keep your kitchen and other areas where food is prepared clean and free of crumbs or grease. Store food in airtight containers and don't leave dirty dishes out overnight. Fix any leaks or standing water sources, like dripping faucets or clogged drains. Seal up any cracks or holes in walls or floors that could provide hiding places for roaches. Finally, limit clutter and keep your home well-ventilated to reduce humidity levels. Regularly inspecting and cleaning your home can help.
